Simple instructions to join “After the Sermon”

What is “After the Sermon”?
“After the Sermon” is a 40‑minute online video meeting each Sunday at 12:15 p.m. where we talk together about how to apply the sermon. This is led by Pastor Steve Hereford.

Before Sunday

  • Make sure you have internet on your computer, tablet, or smartphone.

  • If possible, install the Zoom app ahead of time (a family member can help).

Each Sunday at 12:15 p.m.

  1. Find the link

  2. Click the link

    • With your mouse (computer) or finger (phone/tablet), click the link one time.

    • A box may appear that says “Open Zoom” or “Allow this page to open Zoom.” Click Allow or Open.

  3. Join the meeting

    • If you see a button that says Join with Video, click it so others can see you.

    • When you see a button that says Join with Computer Audio or Call using Internet Audio, click it so you can hear and be heard.

  4. Turn on your sound and video (if needed)

    • If your microphone is muted, you’ll see a small red line on the microphone symbol.

    • Click the microphone symbol one time to unmute when you are ready to speak.

    • If your camera is off, you’ll see a red line on the video symbol. Click it once to turn your camera on.

  5. Participate in the discussion

    • You will see the pastor and others on your screen.

    • Listen as the pastor (or leader) guides the time.

    • When you want to speak, wait for a good moment, unmute your microphone, and share briefly.

    • When you are finished, you can mute again so everyone can hear clearly.

  6. When the meeting ends

    • After about 40 minutes, the meeting will end automatically.

    • You can click Leave Meeting at the bottom of the screen at any time to exit.
